For the most parts Max dominated races until Brazil. It took luck and drama for Mercedes to be in it up until that point.

So they lucked and scrapped their way to easily winning the constructor's championship?

Wow, pretty much the exact opposite of the truth. Do you work for the DNC?

You dont think Mercedes has benefitted at all this year from the inaction of the FIA/Stewards?

Hamilton/Merc doesnt need any help and they get it anyway.

I dont really care who wins either, I just like to see these cars push the limits.

Oh so now we are talking about the constructors? My bad I thought we were talking about Max vs Lewis. Constructors has to do with your average finishing position as a team which was a bunch of 2nd and 3rds all year until Brazil. Checo was a great teammate for Max but was inconsistent on the back end of the season.

Letting lapped cars unwind from the get go.

Max being right behind Lewis at the end before the race resumed was the correct result.

Conjure up whatever bullshite you like. It's over.

I hope GR doesn’t immediately adopt the Merc persona.

I liked pulling for Bottas. Hope I can pull for GR.

He probably would have passed him long before the safety car if he would have even ended up behind at that point.
This. Merc was so much faster the last six races and were so confident in their car. Plus, they even asked Lewis during the race about his tire preferences if boxing under yellow. And when they had the chance to box, they choked. Lewis knew it and said so on the radio.

RB played a weak hand strongly, and Merc played a strong hand timidly.

Exactly, if they had let the lappers by immediately like usual, what is the difference in letting them by just before the last lap, and not letting everyone by?

The ultimate result is Max immediately behind Hamilton with one lap to go. They got the final lap racing scenario right.

Cars unlapping is always done before the lap before the safety car is brought in.

Just like in other sports, officials making the race deciding decision is never how you want it to be.

If you had gone to every driver on the grid before the first race of the season and gave them this race as a hypothetical and not knowing which car they were in ask them do they want to finish behind the SC or racing the last lap how many do you think would have said: "I wanna finish in a possession"?*

Sometimes you are the windshield and sometimes you are the bug. Lewis and Max have been both in their career many times.

I have already said multiple times that I think both teams have had plenty of benefit from FIA. For RB it is the championship.

The season and championship was not decided in 1 lap of 1 race.

Points even 11 second lead before safety car with lappers in between down to no gap no lappers with 2/3 a lap to go would say that it was decided in 2/3 of a lap. Not saying there was not many of events throughout the season, but this race was absolutely decided at the end.
