Not sure if anyone keeps up with podcasts and such, but listening to former drivers takes post race is always pretty revealing for these types of incidents.

I don't see the protests going anywhere, but I expected that to happen.

Masi may be gone after this year.

Yea the expert/pro takes should be insightful.

I also like to envision a scenario where Toto has taken over all all Mercedes-related twitter accounts

Protest at this point is just to call out MM.

Protest against car 33:

48.8 With the exception of the cases listed under a) to h) below, no driver may overtake another car on the track, including the safety car, until he passes the Line (see Article 5.3) for the first time after the safety car has returned to the pits

Protest against the classification:

48.12 If the clerk of the course considers it safe to do so, and the message "LAPPED CARS MAY NOW OVERTAKE" has been sent to all Competitors via the official messaging system, any cars that have been lapped by the leader will be required to pass the cars on the lead lap and the safety car

First one Max is headed to stewards right now for. Don't see them changing it.

2nd one probably won't matter, but the race was restarted before it happened. That's on Masi.

As they should. The poor way it was handled was the problem. Apply the rules correctly and you either have max winning due to superior strategy or hamilton winning due to a superior car. Quite honestly Masi jaded what should have been a watershed ending to one of the best seasons with indecision, misinformation and a seemingly random interpretation and application of the rules.

Russell being the team player, already, as the new wing man for Hamilton next year.

Max passed him, but I doubt they change the championship over it.

DTS spends half the Abu Dhabi episode focusing on Mazepin taking meds.

But as many have said already a race is just a race right? So any penalty should apply as it would any other time.

I hope they don’t though. That at this point would be pretty shitty.

What are they talking about, when max and Lewis were teetering back and forth before Lewis laid down the gas?

Could throw their bullshite back in their face from lap 1, max gave back the distance prior to the start line

Agreed. They absolutely should not change the result, but I don’t put anything past these FIA idiots.

Yep. If Masi didn't move the cars he was wrong. If he let them through properly then the safety car couldn't come in.

Merc has a legitimate gripe, but won't change for a championship. It's on Masi.
