I have watched this thread all year and to see how invested some of you are to hate a team and a driver so much is fascinating. Congratulations to Max but to look at that and think that was anything but a cheap victory is crazy.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

There has been as many times were Redbull have gotten away with beyond aggressive driving. Both teams get the benefit very often. The scales are very obviously not in mercs favor or they would have finished under SC. Lewis and his political views are miserable but that doesn’t take away from him being the unbelievable driver that he is. To watch the season we have seen finish cheap like this is sad for the sport. The only people looking at this happy right now are those with blind hatred for Lewis and Mercedes.

For people who tuned in for their race they saw Lewis race off track for the lead, then saw Masi step in and take away Lewis' advantage at the end.

Not a good look for the sport that race control dictated so much, both ways.

No, we are happy because it was finished on the track and the best man won.

he's an amazing driver. I feel bad for him here. I think his team could have covered and put him on newer tires.

Tell me you've only been paying attention for 5 minutes without telling me you've only been paying attention for 5 minutes.

Like I said, feel bad for him. He kept asking the team to come in and they screwed him

If you cant figure out how hypocritical this statement is then I dont know what to tell you.

What is hypocritical about my statement? I don’t have a dog in this fight nor do I have an absolute allegiance to any of these drivers. I have loved this sport since I was a kid and find it funny watching grown men get this upset because they hate someone so much.

Dude, Merc fricked themselves over. Them not pitting lost them this race. Max would never have been close if they matched RBs strategy knowing they were faster on every tire. When you frick up, you allow chance and/or a ref/steward to decide things.

Agreed on that. Sometimes Toto gets too arrogant. Same with Lewis. And honestly the sport needed a Max title win badly. Bring on next year!!!

Wait. You don’t care but you love it? That’s hypocritical.

Merc definitely missed not pitting once, but you have to admit Masi gifted RBR the win at the end.

really is a turn off to the sport. making up the rules as they go.

Because Merc is so downtrodden and never gets any calls.
