Indy seems to be a legit contender for 2022 as well.

Canada looks to be out this year too.

I would much prefer Indy.

I think it could give some non-American F1 fans America overload with that many races.

Would be an interesting schedule as well. Indy in the early summer with Canada? Austin, Miami, Mexico in the Fall?

So, what do we find out after a 3 week break? Has any team been able to dial it up to another level other than Mercedes who probably has?

We've found at a three week break after an awesome race is the worst.

We also learned that James Allison has been "promoted" away from the team technical director to overall Mercedes technical director. I hope they still have him do the youtube videos because he was awesome at those. I've also seen rumblings that his move was to help with spending cap regulations. I think I read Red Bull is planning similar moves.

I think this week should show who will have the advantage for the year. Red Bull had the superior car at Bahrain, if they have the superior car at Imola as well then VER can start his championship campaign.

If Mercedes struggles with aero here then they probably won't overcome the deficit.

Btw, we should refer to this weekends race by its full name Formula One Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia Romagna

In Italian, 2021 Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio Del Made In Italy E Dell'emilia Romagna

Oh yeah, slight chance of rain for Sunday. Around 40%

And qualifying is being moved back due to Prince Phillip's funeral.

We'll find out whether or not Mazepin has learned how to drive the car well enough to finish at least one race lap.

They've completely moved on to 2022. Understandably why so.

Nah, he will get a few years. Maldonado proves that money buys you time.

I've tried to be positive about the guy and not let all the old shite cloud his F1 career. But his struggles right now are epic.

The Haas is a POS though, Mick is having a lot of struggles too.

Just finishing FP2.

Welp, at least we had Bahrain. Guess we know why Hamilton was so happy yesterday through all the interviews and press appearances.

Many teams seem to have brought upgrades and RBR didn't.

Wondering what caused the Checo/Ocon incident. It sounds like F1 is taking the blame? Couldn't warn one of the drivers.

Something about the communications were down where a team could hear drivers but drivers could not hear teams so they were unable to warn slower cars that others were approaching on a flying lap. I believe that issue is why they also have no video footage of the incident as well.

Might be overreacting to say that sounds like a safety issue, but that seems like something F1 would want sorted before filling up the track with cars going different speeds.
