Hamilton at least said it right when he said the fans should get their money back… should have suspended the race and tried again tomorrow morning.

I don’t know if it’s because he’s Dutch or he’s been spoiled by his rich daddy but Max continues to show he’s a jackass

They also have to get their asses down the road the The Netherlands. I'm sure that played some part as well.

This is a very weak excuse, IMO. Tell me the logistics of holding a race tomorrow and then getting to Zandvoort to hold a normal race were impossible. Don't tell me there weren't enough people available to wave flags or clear debris for free. There's a very easy solution to that.

They did two laps after that which were official

But if those were official how would Sergio have been able to get back in to “start” the race if they got his car fixed?

Also I will admit I missed the part where F1 races could be official without reaching 50% of the distance.

Half points used to only be awarded to races that reached halfway but were called before the 75% lap.

No, it isn't. If you'd bothered to look at the weather for Spa tomorrow you'd know it is the same as today's. What then? Even leave even less time for travel and to get prepped for the next race on the calendar?

Only the laps after his car was fixed were official

Did you even read what I said? If the weather tomorrow was the reason they pulled this, then fine. But don't say "we can't get enough volunteers for tomorrow", that's weak.

“Oh, it’s fine for me to go racing, I can see fine. Why they stop the race, seems fine to me.”

Dude can’t help himself to seem pompous.

And the Dutch love it. I’ve been chatting with them the last few weekson the internet and they go in and on about how “thats Dutch culture. We always speak the truth. Other cultures can’t handle hearing the truth.”

For fricks same.
Last season, I’d say 90% of the grid were very likeable. I’d put that at maybe 75% now, maybe a bit lower

As quickly as F1 gained my viewership, it seems they've lost my interest in the sport completely (plus Indy isn't as much of a parade).

A month off sucked, and they don't have contingency plans for weather? Have they always been this disorganized? Can't they start earlier if they see inclement weather. Damn, just damn.

I think they're still haunted by the death of Jules Bianchi. Every decision they make seems to be made with him in mind. Their contingency plan for weather prior to his death was to just race in it. In the those days, yesterday would have been a complete cluster but they would have gotten every lap in.

That wasn't the official position, it was assumed by the commentators.

They said "they may have difficulty with work" but you can bet your arse, all of those people would have called into their day jobs in order to work a race.

They could have attempted to race this morning. If weather bad, then call it immediately and go.. They are only going 3hrs north.

F1 could have made it happen if they wanted to or at least attempted to. They took the easy way out and pissed off a number of fans.

F1 always has an extended summer break in August. It's a European thing. Not sure why that's a deal breaker for you.

You know how F1 is run. Their decision making is questionable at best.

I'm not saying they could have run this morning, but should have been in their back pocket, especially if they are gonna roll out 2 laps yesterday and call it a day.

When the commentators were asking the team principals about it yesterday and the potential of traveling on shorter period, none of them said "its not possible". They could have figured it out.
