Is that why Verstappen gets the same amount of hate?

Max is an a-hole and a lot don’t like him... his hissy fit in the 1st or 2nd race was a bad look.

Keep pushing the race card though.

I don't think I used the race card. I definitely think there is dislike for him supporting BLM the way he does. No one brings up Seb being just as outspoken on race weekends.

In reality him winning makes him a huge target for dislike. Same way Stroll being openly ultra rich makes people hate him.

Drivers end up being hated when they dominate. Seb was hated, Schumi was as well, even Alonso has a band of haters from when he was winning.

When Seb was winning his titles Lewis was pushing like Max is now and people didn't have near the problem they do with Lewis now.

Did you hear him flipping this weekend. It was a pretty epic melt. His room probably was trashed.

Didn't Antonio come in way later than Hamilton? Alfa should have known by then that the pit lane was closed. Hamilton I could see why there was confusion. Pit lane closed when Hamilton was coming around the last corner. He's not looking left and his team is already prepping for the pit when the closure happens. Maybe that's why only Lewis was questioned and not Antonio.

Yeah. Not sure what the debate was with Lewis getting the penalty. I thought Gio had his before the red flag, but maybe it came during the second safety car before thenred flag.

Gio was apparently more clear cut than whatever they saw with Lewis.

Sorry if you’re not playing that card, but it’s old and tired that you can’t be critical of someone Bc they are a douche, always has to be an ulterior motive.

Lewis has a lot of shite to be critical on, but everyone is critical about every single thing he does.

The recovery drive the second half of the race is some of the greatest driving we have seen and it is barely a footnote. Other than the starts/restarts and Kimi's tires going to shite there were absolutely no passes in the race besides Hamilton. And he did more than 10. But yeah, the talking point right now about him is if he went to talk with the stewards under red flag. It's sad.

Max's radio, warning if you have small children or women around.

Btw, AlphaTauri has an awesome post on Instagram. Can’t link bc it’s in their story but it’s Talking Head’s Once in a Lifetime playing with them flipping through all the news paper headlines of Pierre winning.

So a car that is 2-3 sec faster than the absolute poop that is Haas and Williams and that’s driven by the best driver of the generation passing said crap cars is “greatest driving we have seen”?

I’m mean who couldn’t pass a Williams while driving a Mercedes on ANY course?

Bottas? Albon? Perez?

Verstappen? who was behind a Williams when he retired.

Yes, I get the Merc is a faster car. The Red Bull is faster than all but two cars and they finished near last. He passed more than half the field who didn't pass anyone other than kimi

Hate Hamilton however much you want, he did things in that race no one else was capable of doing.

The bespoke drama of Mclaren taking 20 laps to close 2.5 seconds on the leader is getting the hype. Just put a couple F2 cars at the front of the race.

Yeah, probably let the reaction to this race get to me too much. It was just a shite race with a good podium and now it bothers me that there is a push to see the sport turned to NASCAR with gimmicks. It will take a car like the Merc with an above average driver to make a pass during the race.

Hamilton is like the Alabama of formula 1. He’s so darn good that people look for reasons to take him down. Hamilton is possibly the best racer I’ve ever seen and I’ve been following the sport since the senna days.

But why? Why would they ask him to? Why him an not Antonio?

Antonio pitted after a ton of others stayed out, obviously because the word had been passed from their race engineers or they recognized the pit lane closure signs. Lewis was the leader and in a great spot to pit so maybe they wanted more clarification on his thought process?

Sounds kind of weak when I say that and the signs were clear, you would think a multi champ would be able to recognize that but it is a rare occurrence for the pit lane to be closed.. Either way I blame the Merc team for not alerting Lewis.

McLaren let Sainz know not to pit right after... He referenced Lewis as to why the team said stay out

Merc hesitated and failed Lewis... plain and simple... video confirms this

I’m really happy for Gasly. Little guys need a win every once in a while.

Apparently someone in Finland placed a bet and got the podium correct.

So how much were the odds on a Gasly, Sainz and Stroll podium I hear you cry? 166,990 to one! Perhaps unsurprisingly, this person spent a mere 20-cent on this incredibly unlikely event but it still bagged them an incredible 33,398 Euros. Not bad, not bad at all.

Albon and max obviously had issues with their cars. Ham didn’t pass anyone that Bottas wasn’t also stuck behind.

You are acting like Valtteri or max hell or even seb in that merc wouldnt have passed the back half of the field too. shite man show me a driver that didn’t get out of Lewis’ way.

Ham is an amazing driver. But let’s not act like he hasn’t had a distinct advantage since he’s been with merc.

I don’t hate Lewis. But none of his passes were as good as Ricciardos pass.

The comment just seemed over the top.

People make too much of the abrasive radios. I enjoy them but I don’t put too much stock in them.

Then again, I’m not going to lie, I’ve had a few similar meltdowns as Max in private too.

There is also a big difference between melting at your own teams failures on radio and scootering 200 yards to whine at the officials or whining on your radio that another team must have extra air in the tires and then immediately confronting that driver and asking about his tires 10 seconds after you get out of the car.
