No penalty for Stroll.
Wow.
So you can drive someone off the track while leaving the track yourself, cost the person a good portion of their race, still overtake them, and not get a penalty.
RIC should have stood his ground taken the hit then hoped he could limp to the finish line. Probably would have finished higher in the points.

Surprised he didn't get a penalty

Renault lodged a formal complaint against the tRacing Point cars.
I believe what is at issue is the use of Mercedes IP by tRacing Point Force Stroll. Mercedes didn't have a problem with them using the designs.

Dunno if anyone watched that Indycar race just now but wow, what a finish.

Indy has a very good young group of drivers.

Yeah...Rosenvquist finally got his win...nice racing by him

Will Power went full Stenhouse early on taking out RHR and Rahal. I think both of them would’ve contended for the win, but very happy to see Felix get a well earned W.

Onboard of Lando's final two laps.
After the race Stroll said he thinks Racing Point might have the second best car in the field. If that's the case he should be pretty embarrassed by his result.

They are strong, but McClaren looks pretty strong.
Also, jury is still out on the RB16, but prior to damage Max clearly had the best car that wasn’t a Mercedes.
They’ve only raced on one track in similar conditions. We need to see how temperamental some of these cars will be on different track conditions.

RB retired both cars last weekend, not sure I would consider their car stable.
Considering this is one of Mercs worst tracks it is a good sign for them.

Stroll retired too and Mercedes turned their engines down as well. If anyone was there to push Mercedes last week, they’d have shown more weakness. Albon could have passed Hamilton if Ham didn’t bin him.

Albon took a risk on tires that worked out last week. He had issues and retired after the incident, they blamed the incident, but it could have happened anyway.
Kind of like Sainz probably made the wrong move going for fastest lap, not sure he would have been in from of RIC, but a decent chance he is at least that high.

Sainz did the correct thing

I agree, especially with the info they had. They didn't know that both RP cars would play demolition derby on the last couple laps.
Sucks bad for Danny. He got hosed.

Some great comments:
"I'm starting to think all Scenario 7 does is play eurobeat in Lando's helmet."
"Scenario 8 increases the volume of the Eurobeat"
"Scenario 7 and "Press and hold overtake" are the new "OK Lewis, it's hammertime""

Vettel to Aston Martin seems to be a real possibility. I thought Perez brought too much money to be replaced but it doesn't seem so.

The four-time F1 world champion is believed to have been offered a contract by team owner Lawrence Stroll, who is keen to build the strongest possible package for the rebranding of the current Racing Point team next season. Germany’s Bild newspaper, which is usually well-informed on Vettel’s plans, has indicated that a deal could be agreed soon.

Interesting video about Ferrari's problems. They have about 6 months to solve their engine issues or they'll be saddled with that weakness for the next 4 years!

Someone threw out the possibility of Perez to Haas. North American team with Mexican billionaire backer. Could see that making sense.
Grosjean has to be done after this year.
