Schefter is a known shitstain "reporter" who likely encourages or lies to players in order to gain their trust and break a "story." He'll do or say anything to create drama. He's largely responsible for La'el Collins going undrafted instead of being a first round pick because of his claim to inside information about Collins being a prime suspect in the case involving the murder of his ex girlfriend. After the draft it was revealed to be a completely fabricated lie and Collins was never even a suspect according to BRPD.

I smell a big lawsuit coming up

Incognito should sue him for lost wages.

I'm interested to see what consequences come for Shefter and Martin, if any. People were legit hoping Incognito was killed, rendered penniless, removed from the country and more. There was a crusade to ruin his life over this.

You haven't LIVED until you've had someone try to ruin your life over false allegations. All those flying monkeys weaponized for destruction, even years later repeating allegations that never came close to happening. It's just so easy to try to destroy someone, it's a wonder it doesn't happen more.
