It will take a booster or several stepping up to make it happen . Then you have to pay/overpay a new coach to come. I think they’re stuck with him.

The fact that institutions of higher learning are tethered to these awful financial situations is insane. It’s crazy that we live in a society that values mercenaries throwing and catching a pigskin more than the pressing needs of a college campus. It’s probably every major university that has donors doing this too. There’s a big picture here somewhere.

The Noles are going to end up in the ACC Championship in a horrendous ACC and be stuck with Norvell for like 3 more years at least

Sounds like FAU and FIU need to eat some humble pie and drop down to FCS so Florida State can afford his buyout....

At least that's how Louisiana would handle it.

Doubtful. They already have 2 ACC losses to SMU and Louisville with a game at Miami coming up this weekend.

i heard that is why they might bring back jimbo, work something out and money they owe him is worked into it, softens blow of norvell

not sure hot it would work, so probably wishful thinking by fsu fans

And they think they’re escaping the ACC. That’s gonna cost them $75 million (or more) if done sooner.

And it’s essentially all for football. The people in power have drawn a clear line on what’s important and what isn’t. If you play tennis or golf, your value isn’t worth it. I understand how the bottom line works financially, but we are seeing a certain type of kid valued, education be damned. Run fast, jump high, throw or catch, and you are a valued asset in American universities. Your financial worth is more than some kid who strives academically, or has a bright future in an individual sport.
