they played and oklahoma won. that has to count for more when resumes are close enough, which they are.

No logical reason to make one game count “more” just because the two teams are near each other in the rankings. You look at the whole resume.

Both are undefeated. One just happens to be the 2x defending champs that have been ranked #1 all year. Not rocket surgery.

I don't see how anyone is against a 12 team playoff. That sets up damn good games

You clearly aren’t a rocket surgeon. This is the first ranking of the 2023 season

I was.

Then I realized we are probably guaranteed the Top 10 teams from Week 4 onward.

Yep Washington has the best win of the season so far.

Their win is not as impressive as Texas @ Bama, OU over Texas or FSU over LSU at a neutral site.

Ridiculous they’re not in the top 4.

They really struggled with Arizona State and Stunford.

With that said, they committed does play by a different set of rules when dealing with Michigan, who hasn’t played anyone, and then overlooking Washington’s quality win over Oregon.

Basically, the committee ranks teams how they want, then justifies it.

Anytime a team beats another team they should be ranked ahead of them?

Rhetorical question.

You look at the full resume. You don’t put more weight onto one game out of your subjective feeling of “justice.”

How in the frick is Oklahoma State over Tulane?

Tulane beat South Alabama 37-17 and has one loss to Ole Miss in a game they didn't have Pratt. Okie LIght got absolutely demolished at home by South Alabama 33-7 and has a second loss to Iowa State.

Okie St also beat Kansas and Kansas St. Those two wins are propping them up where they are.

Even though Okie State beat Kansas they are ranked behind them. That’s because they have a bad loss to South Alabama and Kansas has a good win against OU

that's straight up ridiculous though. The wins against KU and KSU are not good enough that they should make up for getting beat by 36 at home to USA when the team right behind them beat USA by 20.

LSU has one more loss than Mizzou.

Texas in front of OU because the disparity in non conf strength and wins.
