With the recent Fury/Wilder threads, I’d like to hear the boards opinion on their favorite heavyweight fights, and why.
The three that personally stand out have to be: Lewis-Klitschko, Joshua-Klitschko, and Bowe-Holyfield.
Too many to name but just the top ones on my list.

Lennox Lewis vs Vitali Klitschko in 2003 is my all time number 1 though, besides the ending.
Lewis-Klitschko
Joshua-Klitschko
Bowe-Holyfield I

Big George Foreman

Redemption 20 years later.

Who does that?

Plus he made a mean grill.

Couple underrated ones from the 90s
The Bowe - Golota fights

Tua vs Ibeabuchi (held compubox record for most punches in a heavyweight bout for a while. Not sure if it still does - and Ike would’ve dominated the HW division for a long time if he wasn’t a head case)

Ali/Frazier I

Smokin' Joe floored Ali and went on to win a UD. Prior to the fight Ali had really gotten under Joe's skin with his antics and calling him an "Uncle Tom" and making reference to him looking like a gorilla while he, Ali, was so pretty.

Joe did a lot to help Ali get that title fight and felt slighted by his antics.

ETA: Although before my time, Marciano vs. Walcott where Jersey Joe was well ahead on all cards going into the 13th round and Rocky caught him along the ropes with a crushing right that sent Jersey Joe slumping to the canvas with one arm draped over the ropes and then he slowly face planted to the mat. He could have been counted out with a sundial.

I've seen the video of this fight several times and is one of my favorites from the past.

A lot of people chalk this up as nothing but a fluke, but it was a hell of a freaking fight.

The sad thing is, no version of Tyson would have beat Douglas that night, but the narrative persists otherwise.

This is an absolutely ridiculous statement. Wow. Are you serious? Buster Douglas was in the best shape of his life and Tyson’s training consisted of hookers, blow, and alcohol at that time and he still floored Douglas and made it a fight. He didn’t even look like himself. He was bloated and mentally wrecked. I can’t believe you got upvotes for that. Absurd.
