Ali treated Joe like a piece of shite, which was pretty disgusting after all Joe did supporting him when Ali was stripped of his title

This. Joe helped Ali financially and went to bat to try to get Ali reinstated and licensed to box again.

Ali, leading up to their first fight was calling Joe an "Uncle Tom" and denigrating Joe in press conferences and it really got under Joe's skin. And that sting lasted for decades after their fights.

Ali said later he was just hyping the fight, but Joe took it personally.

Couple underrated ones from the 90s
The Bowe - Golota fights

Tua vs Ibeabuchi (held compubox record for most punches in a heavyweight bout for a while. Not sure if it still does - and Ike would’ve dominated the HW division for a long time if he wasn’t a head case)

Nice choices, I was huge into boxing then, this brings back memories

That was a total mismatch as Louis was long in the tooth and Rocky was in his prime.

That was an easy win for Rocky even though he hated that Joe went out that way. Rocky admired the guy, but he had a job to do, and did it.

Douglas vs Tyson

A lot of people chalk this up as nothing but a fluke, but it was a hell of a freaking fight.

The sad thing is, no version of Tyson would have beat Douglas that night, but the narrative persists otherwise.

Amen, Buster Douglas was just awesome that night. Mike couldn't do shite. When he fumbling around on the canvas trying to shove his mouthpiece back in....

No much into the fight game but watched a few the other night. Foreman-Lyle was something else. Just beat the shite out of each other.

Tommy Morrison always had great fights but his fights vs Carl "The Truth" Williams, Ray Mercer, Razor Rudduck and Joe Hipp were especially good.

Holmes vs Norton is a classic

And of course Foreman vs Lyle us maybe the GOAT in any weight class.
