85 Villanova, 86 LSU, 89 Gonzaga, 06, George Mason, 08 Davidson, 10 and 11 Butler, 11 VCU were the first that came to mind. Your favorites?

George Mason had the most impressive win to get to the final four IMHO. That UCONN team was stacked. Other teams got some favorable draws.

Butler to make it to back to NCAA championships is pretty damn impressive.

Yeah I was watching the UNC game and went nuts when they won. Started to follow them a little and then that UCONN game happened and it was unreal.

There was some pretty sketchy officiating in the UF-Butler Elite 8 game, especially after UF went up 9 with about 8 minutes left...

As for the OP's question, I lived about 20 mins from Richmond two years ago. The city was absolutely nuts while VCU and Richmond made their run.

Hell, after Richmond got destroyed by Kansas, everyone became a VCU fan. It was crazy.

I'm biased, but VCU. I was only 5 for LSU's 86 run, so I obviously didn't even care at the time. Mason was cool too since I was living in VA at the time
