Houston linebacker Eyabi Anoma has been dismissed from the program for an unspecified violation of team rules, the school announced on Tuesday.

Anoma, the No. 3 overall prospect in the 2018 ESPN 300, spent a year at Alabama before transferring to Houston. He appeared in six games in for Alabama, recording nine tackles.

Anoma sat out the 2019 season, per NCAA transfer rules. He leaves without having played a game for Houston.

Last August, Alabama coach Nick Saban said Anoma was dismissed from the school.

Yeah but Alabama was a real huge piece of shite the first time around

It was clear as day this kid had major issues but nobody wanted to listen.

Does it feel good to be the victim all the time?

It feels good to be able to recognize a situation that seems pretty obvious from the get go.

What happened with him. Also had the guy from Jersey last year who was another top 5 player.

Is there an issue in identifying the right type of people potentially (not talent as Bama always has talent), or just a few glitches?

Alabama recruited him for two years AND enrolled him. I think “get-go” might have a different meaning to some of you.

I think they were just 2 troubled individuals who are SO talented that you take the chance. They don’t seem to be out committing crimes. But from the small amount of info people have, they both seem pretty damn troubled. I wouldn’t be surprised if Eyabi was a highly intelligent schizophrenia type guy. The other guy just never seemed happy at Alabama. I’m pretty sure he just quit. Hung out on campus and stuff and partied with frat kids and aggressively ghosted Saban and everyone attempting to help him. Said he was upset his grandma was sick but I’m not sure he ever went to go be with her. His dad publicly stated they didn’t agree with what he was doing. It was weird.

@mzenitz
Hearing it was a combination of factors that led to Eyabi Anoma being dismissed from the team at Houston — tardiness, skipping class, clashing with teammates, insubordination, etc.

“Some of the same issues he dealt with (at Alabama),” one source said.

Give it to me straight, doc...what’s wrong with me?

Well, Mr. Thomas, it appears you have an acute Eyabi Anoma that is affecting your quality of life.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

There’s no way I want anything to do with this player going forward.
