That's not what I said, I said that statistically people who profess religious faith in first world industrialized nations (where essentially all such data comes from) are much more likely to commit crimes than those who openly acknowledge a lack of belief. Adulterous affairs between Christians are the most entertaining to watch how they dance and lie. This one is straight out evil cutting the heart and soul out a guy that trusted his wife and pastor, friend, and counselor. Poor guy will never trust anyone again.

I never heard of them before this, so my first thought was pastor is worse than the wife. He cheated on his wife, slept with another man’s wife under guise of being their pastor helping to mend their marriage, milked the husband for money, and so on. The spiritual damage something like this causes affects more than just the 2 families involved.
The wife is obviously at fault as well and not giving her a pass. I guess it depends on level of manipulation and by whom. A marriage counselor doing this would be bad enough, but their pastor on top of that makes it so much worse. I have seen broken people during times they could have been easily manipulated put a lot of faith and trust in pastors to help them. In the situations that I have seen the pastor has done what’s right, but I know there are pastors that haven’t done the right thing and have also seen some rank & file church members manipulate relatively new Christians & church members with martial issues (either issues before converting or because of it). Thats why I view the pastor with much more disgust than the wife as pastor and counselor he had so much influence to use to manipulate and take advantage of someone distraught and in a broken marriage he is as entrusted with helping. The pastor even advised him to give her space before affair started.
Maybe the wife did the manipulation, but I am just going by what I have read with this story. She may be all you mentioned, but the pastor is worse by far.
