I love Moss but how did Rice not get every single vote as the GOAT for his position? Guy was the most dominant player at his position ever.

Every once and while you gotta go back and look at Jerry Rice’s stats.

The guy played till he was 42 so if you’re younger and don’t remember him you gotta wonder if that’s just a lifetime achievement thing but he really was epic at his peak too.

He’ll at 40 he has a 1200 yard 7 TD season

would be curious to hear Bill Belichick’s 100% honest lineup based on players who have played since he began his career and critical explanations of why he would take Player A over Players B, C, D at each position.

I mean he did an entire series on NFL Network doing just this and call Brady the GOAT over and over again

Have no problem with Moss getting 4 votes. He was the best player in football for 4 years and stretched the field like no other...defenses were just befuddled. He was maybe the most explosive playmaker ever...

Rice is the obvious GOAT but if a team wanted to take Moss, it's understandable.

I'd take Walter Payton or OJ. Both were their teams entire offense for years.

People just remember the '85 Bears and forget that was the end of Payton's career. He played for some shite arse teams.

He carried the ball over 300 times 9 times in his career.

Jim Brown carried the ball over 300 times...once.

Sometimes you just think of the Super Bowl year.

It's like College Basketball, what year are they? They play from one year but win the title deep into the next year.

Ray Lewis should be on their but he should share it with Jack Lambert....and Urlacher.

As much as Greene is lauded IMHO the best player on that line was LC Greenwood

At DB, I always protest Primetime....you have to tackle people. I also think Darrell Green should get some love

But really Jackie Slater should be the Tackle. He played for 20 years. Shut down some of the best pass rushers like White and Greenwood. Anchored a line that in the early 80's allowed fewer than 30 sacks a year

I don't envy those that had to pick between Rice and Moss.

TE, who cares, but yeah Gonzales probably wins without recency bias.

I doubt he was critical of anyone during that series.

Darrelle Revis deserves a mention at CB. He was an elite CB for damn near 8 years, which is rare for a corner.

Butkus should be the MLB on the list, THE DUDE DID WHAT HE DID WITH TOTAL BUMS ON HIS DEFENSE AND WITH BAD KNEES THE LAST THREE YEARS OF HIS CAREER
