And ESPN is a leading cause of cord cutting because they're by far the most expensive channel when it comes to fees they charge cable providers per subscriber.

ESPN is the only reason I (and many others) have a streaming TV service at all. If not for ESPN/SEC Network, I would be happy with OTA channels, Netflix, and Prime Video. Other networks should be thanking EPSN for my money.

Let's see if ACC basketball, SEC football and Cornhole can keep it afloat

NCG belongs on national tv on a Saturday night and all NFL broadcasts belong on one on the 4 National Networks.

The worst thing the HoM does is sports.

You know what i hate about ESPN, the fact that there were about 20-30 notable basketball games last night, yet you will not find a single total game highlight of any of those games on espns website or their app, but i can find out what Stephen A thinks about somethign that happen in one of the games, or if Max thinks the Bucks can win 70 games.

It would be nice if they would get back to simple 1-2 minute videos of the actual highlights of the game.

Different strokes for different folks, but I rarily ever get my NBA highlights from Sportscenter anymore. I consume most of my highlights from Instagram or the NBA & House of Highlights channels on youtube. The highlights are up on IG well before Sportscenter is on and the youtube channels give me much more in depth highlights in condensed packages.

I find it adorable the people who claim to have called their cable service provider, cancelled ESPN, and they just removed that one channel.

That’s not how that works.

9 minute highlights are nice if it’s my team and I missed the game. But I’d like to watch highlights of the other games. 9 minutes is ridiculously too long. 2 minutes is more than enough, maybe 3 if it was a really big game with lots of action.
Where are those game highlights?

At some point they stopped giving us sports and highlighted, and started being a news channel. They dont understand we went to sports to get AWAY from the news of the day.

Except they are getting killed by cord cutters who don't give a shite about sports. Their non live sports content has very little to do with their subscriber losses.

Every single network on basic cable is getting slammed by cord cutting. It's not an ESPN problem. It's an industry wide issue. ESPN just gets the most ink b/c they've been the most successful cable network by a long shot.

To be fair, that show is long gone. Jimmy Pitaro is getting rid of people like Jemele Hill.

True, but this was in response to a pretty substantial pushback. Some of those viewers/users have largely tuned out hence the drop (as marginal as it may be). As noted earlier, people tune in for sports...not politics. A story or two is one thing. A change in programming structure (promoting race baiters like Jemale Hill etc.) was a major misstep imo. Canning those "sports journalsts" has stabalized their network, but it was a terrible decision based on the backlash. FWIW, I still have their package and never cancelled anything, but I can't say I wasn't considering it.

Why don't they put their fantasy stuff on the app as well?
