How about giving up the Leftist agenda? Caitlyn Jenner winning the Arthur Ashe Courage Award and such...
Does it help? No, but it is a drop in the bucket relative to their other problems.

Big 12 reporter Max Olson out.
Not a big loss. A bit of a Texas homer

Would be the worst show to ever appear on television. Would also make MSNBC seem like tough guys. When they got around to talking sports, would have horrible hot takes anyway.

And viewership decline is a small problem compared to the much larger issue of subscriber decline which is not just an ESPN issue

David Ching got let go

I haven't been keeping up, what's the overall strategy behind the layoffs? Is it mostly cost savings, or part of a much bigger programming restructure? I can't see these layoffs doing jack to help their bottom line, so surely they have plans to go back to being an actual sports network, right?
ESPN was way late to the party as far as media trends go. They're trying to get caught up but that ship has mostly sailed. Sports highlights are oversaturated and available everywhere, cord cutters are eviscerating their revenue streams, and their broadcast contracts have increased significantly. Their current model is over, their old model is never coming back, and they're apparently trying to figure out what to do next.

Hannah Storm will see their roles “significantly reduced.”
Utter bullshite.
Hannah is one of the good ones and was one of the few things I could actually stand about SportsCenter before they fully went off the deep end in sucking 24/7.

He's the guy who came on Culotta's show right? The SEC blogger?

Wait is Russillo and Kanell no more?!?!? Wherever you go, Russillo, I will follow.
NBC should hire Ryen and put his show after Patrick's. There would be nothing close.

Posted on 4/26/17 at 12:27 pm to Fus0623
Yeah, I think he mainly covered LSU

I'm very surprised about Kanell.

As of now, he's still with ESPN think he signed a contract two years ago when Scott left. Don't know how long it is so we should stay tuned
