Are you just gonna pretend Ole Miss wasn't dirty as frick?

OMG! Ole Miss was doing what the blue bloods were doing! Sanction them!!

They are all "dirty as frick", it is just funny to watch who the NCAA chooses to punish.....in any sport.

Your anger is misguided, CFB programs became multi million dollar entities, coaches salaries got bloated, tv contracts keep escalating, not giving the players a cut wasn’t sustainable

Hell the greedy bastards still won because they’re still raking in the profits and have people tripping over themselves to pay the labor for them. Why most fans are angry with the players and not them is beyond me.

Kind of like your 2007 class no? Saban comes in, goes 6-6 with losses to ULM, and y’all just happened to sign the best class in the country?

Not really sure that is even an apples and apples comparison. Saban had a pretty legit resume with a NC on it and the Rev, well not so much. Also, I think that signing class had Julio that was already a pretty strong Bama lean as well as Rolando who was a pretty strong Bama lock as well.

I’ve said before that there is a subset of fans here who get off on the notion of peon gladiators performing without compensation for their entertainment.

frick everyone who supported pay for play

We’ve always had pay for play. What we have now is the most bastardized version of it because we know it’s pay for play but legally it can’t be because the NCAA and their member universities don’t want the athletes to be labeled employees. And because they refuse to pay them directly as employees we have

Entitled athletes, selfish coaches, greedy athletics departments and pathetic media companies are what have destroyed college sports.

It’s all of the across the board and Saban is as much to blame as anyone by manipulating the system and basically paying players for years without “paying” them.

He helped build this mess and is bailing when the consequences of his and others have ruined the sport.

I honestly hope his legacy in the end is as someone that destroyed the sport (which he clearly has helped do) moreso than some amazing coach that beat the odds.

That's why you need a GM type in college front office.
