Did you even watch the NFCCG?????Manning was MONEY on that muddy field.

What's money about going 3 and out TWICE in OT?

They got 2 scores off Kyle Williams.

I judge QB's based on their performance, not team results exclusively. Eli is a very good QB that had a great year. Sunday's results didn't change that either way.

Message Posted by RedHawk If Eli was so great this year, why did he only "carry" them to a 7-7 record before his D got healthy?

The d has played awesome in the last 5 games

and that's along with Eli's play are why they where they are, with out 1 or the other they wouldn't be where they are.

to discredit eli is laughable and makes people look stupid.

Giving credit to the D is not discrediting Eli, what's stupid is ti give QB's ALL the credit and thinking any mention of anything else is discrediting the QB.

But Eli made them pay for those mistakes. He made some great throws throughout the whole game.

In Williams defense, had the niners done any better on 3rd down[1 for 13] that 2nd fumble doesn't happen.

At home because they suck, but they did beat "your" team twice this year.

six 4th quarter comebacks

Generally speaking comebacks are as much a function of clutch defense

So its Elis fault they were only 7-7??? The BAD D had nothing to do with this???? I guess Eli is the only player in any team sport that wins and losses games by himself?????

Never said that, but if he was truly elite, then he would have been able to go 15-1, 13-3 or 13-3, all of which Rodgers, Brees and Brady managed to do with even worse defenses.

or the fact that you were down. I'd rather win games by 20 than need a late score to win.

no doubt, but bottom line without muffed punt returns or as you said, better execution by SF offense, Eli wouldn't have won. They went 3 and out twice in OT, if SF capitializes, they Eli doesn't win. That doesn't take away from his performance all year or in that game, which was great.

Brees ,Brady, and Rogers ALL have a ton more talent to work with on offense than Eli does. YES that is a factor. And YES I believe that Eli could have taken those teams to similar records if he played for them.

exactly, which is why proclaiming Eli as better or more clutch than his brother because the New York Football Giants won the game Sunday is absurd.

Horse hockey. The Giants WR's are great, Cruz is rapidly rising up the charts as a top WR. I might take him over any WR on GB, NO or NE.

After the fumble in OT, they ran with Bradshaw 3 times in a row, so I don't think you can give Eli credit for that.
