I don’t know if there’s any player more descriptive of “Hall of Very Good, not Hall of Fame” than Fred Taylor.

Love Fred and would like to see him get in one day but I can't disagree.

I'm irrationally annoyed that he's going to get in and has no business being in

I don't watch the Manningcasts very often, but I feel like Eli being in the HOF would make those even better.

I could just see Eli talking shite about how the HOF is better now that the best Manning is in, or some shite like that...

So for that reason alone, I hope he gets in.

Vinny and Suggs seem like the most sure fire HOFers out of this bunch.

No doubt about Allen and Gates.

Both Allen and Suggs had over 130 sacks in their career. Allen had 136 sacks in a 12 year career, Suggs played 15 years and had 139. Gates had 116 TDs in a 15 year career with nearly 12k yards .....might get him in HOF.

Based on what?

I'm not an Eli fan by any means (never liked the Giants, and he seems like a complete dolt), but there are several QBs with no Super Bowls or Super Bowl MVPs; with worse stats than him; and/or with worse winning percentages than him.

The precedent is basically set. He probably won't get in this year, but he will eventually. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if some people vote for the guy simply because he ended what would have been the greatest season in NFL history.

Manning’s success happened only when the Giants had elite defenses and playoff draws filled with regular season rematches.

Those two Giants teams are easily the two worst teams to win SBs. I think he’ll get in, but should not be a first ballot HOFer. He was very inconsistent as a starting QB.

He’s got two nice runs to win SBs but as an individual player, he’s not Hall of Fame material. Never came close to win league mvp, never made all pro.

Willie Anderson deserves it, but there is a bias against right tackles.

Well he's getting in either this year or next so there's no reason to melt over it.

ETA: I don't disagree, but he's getting in.

Eli manning is not with melting over. Just pointing the obvious that he’s never been an elite player at his position. If his name was Eli Plunkett, does he get in?

Manning was Tier 3 among his peers even in his prime. How many players so woefully behind the best at their position have gotten in? This would be unprecedented dilution
