Lost to Charlotte last week now tied up at 14 with North Carolina A&T, they may beat Kansas but that's it if they lose tonight there's a legit chance they go 0-12

Welcome to College Football 101. Y’all don’t understand how small some of these schools are. Wake Forest does a hell of a job at 7,500 undergrad. NC A&T at 11,000. Duke around 15,000.

School size is basically meaningless in college sports. Athletic Department budget is everything

meh not completely… it comes up all the time that UCF has like 70k undergrad. That enrollment becomes alumni who become money (hopefully)

Notre Dame is it’s own animal.

And you further that stat by showing your average Joe fan how large the enrollment is at a place like UCF, Houston, or even UTSA. They’re all over 30,000 undergrad students.

Yea, but how does a school obtain a large budget. Duke has been in the ACC for ages, reaping the benefits of the TV revenue and from playing P5 opponents. UCF doesn’t have that historical advantage.

Duke isn't picking their football team out of the general student enrollment.

Absolutely wrong. The bigger your enrollment gets the more alumni you have the more people you can hit up for donations and the more people who will tune in to watch your team which makes you attractive to TV networks.

There's a reason all the biggest prizes in realignment have been big arse state schools.

You have to luck out with the donor aspect. USC is a huge school, where are their donors?

That’s PART of the equation. I maintain that some of these schools just lucked out by being in a major conference from the get go.

With all the talk of conference realignment and who will be invited is the totally missed conversation we should be having of who should be kicked out. When we are talking about sharing 75+ million a year in revenue, you shouldn't be able to sit back and collect the same check Texas, LSU, or Alabama gets just because you joined 100 years ago and haven't done shite to support your football program since.

Bro with the way they’re playing I’m not sure they aren’t just picking people out of the general student population and suiting them up

Here’s the problem… you want to get 10-11-12 members together to try to kick out Miss State and Mizzou.

Miss State and Mizzou could also get those members together to kick you out
