Towards the end Brady took the necessary pay cuts to make it work.

He didn’t. There are legit capologists that have refuted this. The Patriots play serious cap games and semantics but Brady made the same.

The media just keeps reporting it because it’s a nice story and the way the Pats do it makes it seem that way.

Manning threw a game-losing pick6 in a Super Bowl against Brees who was turnover-free.

Agreed, thats what I'm saying the stars aligned and the Saints were able to sneak a win in. Any team can get lucky and win one. Takes something special for a QB to lead his team to multiple titles.

Like playing in by far the worst division in the NFL for a couple of decades; using the season to pad stats and rest up for a few games in the playoffs?

Knowing the opposing defenses play calls can't hurt either.

288th Downvote, for more ignorance than should ever be posted! If the Saints would have had a DECENT defense for any point (other than 09) during his tenure........they would have MULTIPLE Super Bowl wins.

There was only one year the Les Miles Offense was winning a NC minus a Bama loss

Aside from 2011 which is a lock LSU at least makes the SECCG in 2012 if we beat UGA we roll Notre Dame. Other years we simply don’t know, how many recruits for example would we have gotten that went to Alabama? And even if he “only” won 2 NC, that’s pretty elite company.

Brees has been so good that he's erased the narrative that he brought the Saints - THE SAINTS - to a Super Bowl victory.

Before 2006, that would be considered a crowning achievement because it seemed so far fetched.

This...man, I can remember Tampa Bay and all those great defenses but every game was a struggle cause Dilfer was so bad. It was hard to watch. And yeah he won that one SB with by all accounts one of the two best defenses in NFL history.

He was awful as was this troll.
