I love when fans have to fall back on stuff that happened before they were born.

What irony?

ETA: This is how it's going to play out.

You're going to try to clown me.
It's going to backfire because you're an idiot.
You're going to threaten me.
I'm going to laugh.
You're going to say you're done with me and that I'm not worth your time.

What’s crazy is since Brees and Payton joined the Saints in 06 until the Bounty gate penalties in 2012.. no other team in the entire NFL had more wins than New Orleans.

Keep in mind they took a 3 win team to the NFC championship in their first season. Flat out incredible.

He's a better winner that's for sure.

He's a much better loser as well. Brees' career record as a starter has about 30 more wins than Eli and a 57.0 winning percentage to Eli's 52.9.

Personally, I can’t take any QB season or career stats from the last 15 years or so very seriously. If Dan Marino started his career 10 years ago, he might reach 100k. And I’m not joking.

What people don’t appreciate about Brees is he has NEVER played with a pro bowl wide receiver.

I see why someone would say that like it means something. But it doesn’t really carry much weight.

Bc At the same time you could say that Tom Brady MADE Wes welker a pro bowler. And brees didn’t make ANY of his wrs Into pro bowlers.

Js. I’m not a Brady guy at all.

I think that team philosophy played a high role in that too. Saints didn’t really draft wr well in brees tenure at the top of the draft.

Pride put together a pretty good takedown of Brady as GOAT.

I’m not sure team defense is the best way to determine who is GOAT. especially since having a poor defense you will likely face softer defenses from the opposition due to being behind.

Outside of New Orleans Drew Brees is boring as shite. Favre was at least a good ole boy who had some character and intrigue to who he was. Drew is just a ho hum character.

(I know he gives back lost to the community and is a great role model)

Ahhh I see that you're a gigantic mother fricking retard on more than one thread here tonight. That's good to know.

Video game numbers due to the rules of today's game. Cant touch the QB or WRs and I would love to see what he would have done against real defenses like the The Steel Curtain or Doomsday. Brees height would have been exposed as well as his lack of mobility.

If I say drew brees is a top 10 all time QB, saints talk will say I’m shitting on him

I dunno about that. I'd probably put him in the 8-10 range personally. Now, if he wins another Superbowl I think he has a strong case for top 5 ever.
