The worst is that he tried to claimed he was pulled down, and swung his arm like that to prevent it.

He's already been suspended 5 games THIS SEASON for similar actions and has a long long long long history of this stuff. The NBA let him get away with too much. Its time to stamp down on him

Laimbeer was actually talented, and led the league in rebounding and was one of the early stretch 4/5 that could shoot. Had 6 threes in the Finals in one game Vs Portland. All we remember Draymond for is kicking guys in the nuts and being triple single!
Laimbeer more talented than Draymond?

Hes a thug. My biggest issue is if he wasnt a basketball player in the NBA he would be behind bars. we love a good double standard

Well, let's take a look.

Laimbeer had a higher PPG, higher RPG, higher FG%, better FT shooter, a higher PER, and double the win share and was arguably a more important part of his team's championships.

So, are we just gonna' say Dray is more talented because...he's a modern player, or do stats count at all?

This is NOT a defense of Bill Laimbeer, who was every bit the biggest a-hole of his day.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has played in 930 games between the regular season and playoffs during his 12 years in the NBA. He has been ejected from 19 of them, which is the most of any active player and the second-most all-time behind Rasheed Wallace (27).

How does he compare with the old Detroit thug teams?

He doesn't.

Detroit was right at that line of dirty versus physical.

Draymond lives on the dirty side of that line, with little edging over to just being physical.

Laimbeer was the dirtiest of the Pistons, but at least he'd not do these loss of focus, random shitbird things

His version of dirty was to put his foot under you when you landed-- not to go swinging at your head. He'd be physical with a forearm shiver to a lane driver, but that's a lot less dirty, and actually has a basketball purpose.

Even the worst of the Pistons offenders, at least made sure that his physical play was usually basketball related-- so when he did do his dirty shite, it felt 50% less crazy than Draymond.

After hearing Draymond’s ‘apology’, in which he takes no responsibility and claims it was an accident, I’d like to amend my comments from this morning.

Not the rest of the season. Not next season as well.

Banned from the league…for life.

It’s one thing to be a thug. It’s another to not learn from punishment and continue said thuggery. It’s a completely other thing to lie to people’s faces and claim this thuggery is accidental.

I don’t want to hear a damn thing about his mental health. Everyone has problems. This fool is an a-hole, an idiot and a cowardly bully. There is no mental health counseling that can help him. He needs humbling, not introspection.

Laimbeer averaged more points per game and rebounds than Draymond. Has better career FG and 3P%.
