Yes, absolutely
This is a pretty legit claim to make. But they did do it without him, so he’s not necessary. Sure, help the team? Yep. But not necessary.
They figured out a way to do it without him then. Why is it so far beyond comprehension they they couldn’t again?

Lebron was clearly not necessary for 2016 and 2020. We saw that play out
We say 2024 play out, he clearly was necessary. Same with Steph

Take her hormones out of it
“Wow. We barely won that game. But I totally think we still win if you take away our two best players because 4 years ago we won”
That’s what you are saying

No we didn’t see it play out without him.

They could have won without him for sure. Other players step up.
USA is the world class of basketball. They get it done.

USA doesn’t win by magic. It wins with the players. And Lebron and Steph the players were needed in 2024 to win

And the players on the team would have stepped up. Likely Steph.

LeBron is the 5th, 6th, or 7th best NBA player on team USA depending on which list you look at.
He only started because of name recognition and he would’ve pitched a fit if he’d been on the bench.

You are just showing how much better the 92 team was compared to 24.

Bronny would’ve won gold too

Yes, and they’re a better team without him in the lineup

Serious question
Given the competition the 92 team played, how in the absolute frick could we even begin to know how good the 92 team was and how they’d handle real international teams?

Team USA Basketball has won the past two gold medals without lebron. This is fact.
They’ve won them without Curry as well
