Does US win gold if lebron is not on the team?

Much lower chance of a US gold in 2024 with the team minus Lebron than the 1992 team minus Jordan.

LeBron played a big role but Steph is the reason they won today. Credit to LeBron though for setting him up.

We lose in the semis without Lebron or Steph
We lose in the finals without Lebron. I still think we beat France without Steph at the end. His ending made it orgasmic but we were up 6. Only way we would have lost would have been to basically be 0 fer at the end
Today alone we were -10 with Lebron off the court
+21 with him on court

It was a three point game when Steph went off. They pulled away but they do so because Steph hit one and took the game over.

Part of the reason they cut the lead at the end was an awful missed layup from curry leading to a fast break, and then a terrible turnover from curry that led to a fast break
His ending was the dagger. But we had the lead. I think without him we still keep that lead
Now Serbia game is 100% a loss without him being there
But to answer the OPs question no we would not have won gold without Lebron this Olympics

No. I know Steph went crazy at the end, but the US was already leading, and even if Steph goes 0-4, the US is still likely to win. That last shot was nice, but a miss would not have made a difference. The US did what they were supposed to do; they won gold. Lebron made Steph's life pretty easy. Closer three-point line, playing with Lebron; I'm surprised Steph didn't shoot over 50%. The last two games were what I was expecting to see from Steph in these games. Srbjia beats US without Lebron.

Without him? All depends. Who did we add in that slot? You can't take away from a roster without adding. Who's your replacement?

When people remember this game down the road, it’ll be because of Steph. I gave LeBron credit because some of those passes were ridiculous but Steph was the one scoring when France had the game within two possessions. The USA couldn’t put them away - and then Steph closed it out and put them to sleep.

The other thing with Steph is look at the end of the game. We play offense defense with him and sub him out
He isn’t a bad defender, but he isn’t great. That what hurts him when doing comparisons to the nba Rushmore players

Legoat is the most selfless player of all time.
Was happy to rack up assists to help the name on the front of his jersey get the gold rather than the name on his back get the glory.

I think LeBron was the linchpin on this team and the guy you could count on to to get things back on track when it was going sideways for others.
