I’m not denying competition has gotten tougher. But to say we can’t do something without Lebron, when we have done it without Lebron, is silly.

Going to take the one superstar who loves racking up assists and rebounds as much as points off the team and think that this team is going to be better?

Even with him they had trouble.

I’m only half trolling when I’m saying that he’s Mr America for basketball. His game and mentality is well suited for a hodgepodge team of alphas and all stars with minimal time together

Probably not. Probably bronze at best.

You admit the international teams have gotten better since 2020

Without Lebron in that year we escaped with a 5 point win

So isn’t it safe to think he was kinda needed this year especially after watching it play out? We barely fricking won gold with him

Dude you are acting dumber than you do with politics

The player from home that would have replaced lebron on the roster would have logged nearly zero minutes. End of discussion

I didn’t say they would be better. Maybe they are maybe they aren’t.

But if you take him off, they win gold, just like Team USA has done without him previously.

I can agree with this. But being greatly suited for Olympic play doesn’t mean he’s a requirement, again, as we’ve seen the last two Olympics.

I've asked who that wo6ld be twice. Literally a hypothetical question in this hypothetical subject. You can name anyone you like. So, who?

Still won without him. Maybe that years team waltzed in and thought they would roll and not expect teams to be better. Who knows.

Take Lebron off if this year's team and maybe they play a different style. Who knows. Maybe Steph goes nuclear earlier than the gold medal game. Maybe KD goes KD. Maybe Tatum plays more and balls.

They’ve proven they can get it done without him. So to say there’s no way tbh couldn’t do that again, without him, is just silly. Competition didn’t go from a 2 to a 10 in four years.

So, even though we escaped a game in the last minutes, you think taking one of the best ever players off the team changes nothing and we still win?

Do you understand how that sounds? We aren’t talking about other Olympics, we are talking about this one

We barely won a game WITH LEBRON

Like I said, maybe the team plays differently without lebron. Maybe Steph goes nuclear earlier than the gold medal game. Maybe KD goes KD. Maybe Tatum plays more and balls.

Let me guess, you also confidently think we win the 2020 Olympics without Durant

And none of them are far fetched.

They’ve done it before, yea?

Do you think Team USA beats trams by more than they did in 2020 and 2016, WITH lebron?

If you said yea, Id have no argument against that.

In the 2024 Olympics no they never did it

They do not win this Olympics without Lebron. They also don’t win without curry

They also don’t win 2020 without Durant

They also won them without Steph

And guess what? They don’t win this one without either

Why didn’t we win in 2004? We had won in 1992, and 1996, and 2000……

Not sure. I wasn’t following it that closely back then.

But we won with Lebron, and we won without Lebron, just four years ago. So it’s not a 100% guarantee we can’t win without him again.

Yes, absolutely

And 2020 loses if they take of Durant
