The problem is neither Alabama, Miami, or ND deserved to be in the playoff. Alabama lost to a dog shite Florida St. ND lost to the only two decent teams they played and beat up on a bunch of shite teams. Miami didn’t even make it to the ACC conference championship game in a shite conference.

They had to put Bama in. If they left them out good luck getting any teams to play conference championships games in the future.

They can either have conference championships or playoffs. Having both just doesn’t seem to work

I am. I answered your question.

The regular season no longer matters because the powers that be decided that there should be a playoff. The regular season will continue not to matter as people continue to push for more expansion. Eventually there will be 16 teams in this stupid thing.

Get used to seeing average teams in this invitational.

This is how im starting to feel. CFB is a pathetic joke right now. A shell of its former self.

NIL and an unregulated portal ruined it.

It only matters for teams not named Alabama.

Explain how Bama has a better resume than ND with that FSU loss?

According to sagarin sos is 3 to 32, including nd being 2-2 vs top 30 opponents while bama is 7-2.

Bama had the 6th-ranked SOS.

Notre Dame and Miami were in the 40's. Does that not matter?

You’re asking if the regular season matters while singling out 1 game

This. It just so happens that bama benefits from it like they always seem to do.

finish with 3 losses and still get in

I hate Alabama as much as anyone, but you are talking about regular season and claiming they have 3 losses.

They had 2. And if they decide to skip the conference championship game, nobody is even discussing if they are in or not.

The committee got it right.

You cannot ignore the fact Alabama won @UGA and Miami beat Notre Dame on the field

Regular season certainly doesn’t matter as much

This is an Alabama brings the ratings so ESPN will always bend over backwards for them issue, not a regular season issue. Bama made the title game once when they didn't even win their division.

Bama started and ended the season with embarrassing losses, which apparently gets you into the playoff in 2025
