Does Oklahoma even go bowling this year?

Seems the SEC is (as most predicted) altering their program quite a bit.
Venebables also seems to take every other year off.

best I can see is Kentucky, SCAR, Aggy, and Mizzou. starting to feel like Okie might go the way of Nebraska. resources don’t really matter when you’re now competing for north Texas kids with a dozen other schools who didn’t used to canvas the area. and all of those schools have equally, if not deeper pockets, than OU. could spiral out of control pretty fast

I just never saw Venables as an HC. I always thought he should just been a Mickey Andrews and said no thanks, DC is my thing and I'm good at it and happy with it

He's a hc, Oklahoma is just a big spot for him. I guess they thought they were getting their Kirby.

South Carolina probably a toss up, they may catch someone else on a bad day.

I feel like the RRS is the most unpredictable rivalry in CFB. I don't expect OU to win by any means. But if OU does win it, I honestly can't say I'd be surprised either, despite just about every rational analysis saying Texas should roll.

this is who their QB was last year, but he would get lucky and break contain, and guys would get open down field, and he made plays. Now, they making him throw, and he's still the same mediocre qb, but w/o the big plays from moving in pocket.

The problem for these former Big 8 teams plus Arkansas is they recruited above their geography historically because they were winning games and playing in big time games.
It’s easy to see this snowballing for Oklahoma long term. Lose more games playing in the SEC, prestige drops, recruiting drops, lose even more games.
Colorado, Nebraska, Arkansas (not Big 8 but similar geography), and now Oklahoma have had records well below their historic average since leaving their leagues. Mizzou is the only one that seems to be able to maintain their level.

OU A&M and Arkansas are the three worst teams in the SEC.
