as does tiger. tiger is doing things that no one ever thought could be done. i would guess that more people are in awe of tiger's ability than federer's.

I agree. None of those should be considered greatest athletes.

Maybe because people are more aware of Tiger, but 22 straight Slam semis is literally beyond comprehension.

Its even more impressive when you factor in that he did that while essentially playing three sports... its insane.

If Fed isn't the GOAT of Tennis then who is?

not saying he isn't. but lance is the best cyclist of all time, phelps the greatest swimmer, and they didn't win.

every golfer knows that tiger is better than jack. no performance factor at this point in tiger's career points to jack being better at a comparable age. not even close.

I was curious since you seemed to refute my assertion that Federer was the GOAT earlier.

Lance probably didn't win because of the steroid saga

Phelps probably didn't win because his moment comes once every 4 years

Contador will be better than Lance and already might be considering he's won all three grand tours, which Armstrong resfused to even race in

They are athlete's working out every day and working their arse off to compete in a competitive league in outside nature. I bet 100 of the fatasses on this site can't come close to doing that. So it doesn't bother me and in no way should it bother anyone. They deserve it.

Actually, it probably is pretty close to that. From www.ap.org...

AP is owned by its 1,500 U.S. daily newspaper members. They elect a board of directors that directs the cooperative.

Not saying that the voters couldn't vote for a foreign athlete, but they bias is there given the voters are probably mostly American.

i looooove how some people's argument is telling this guy to go out and do it (bike, golf, etc...) and then come back and bitch about it. that's fricking hilarious. like none of you ever bitch at athletes, get off your damn high horses.
