I’m seeing more and more people saying the committee puts in Duke over JMU.

JMU would be favored against Duke and Duke has 5 losses. No one wants to G5 schools either.

The committee is in a no win situation.

Oddsmakers have Duke at 20/1 to make the Playoff.

Duke has a 4 score loss to the 7th place team in the big ten. They’re not getting in with that plus another 4 losses.

Every single year the committee is “in a no win situation” and it always turns out fine.

To me the easy choice is JMU. However, some smart people are saying Duke.

The committee can blame it on the rules

Bama got wrecked by the 13th place team in the ACC = tough conference w/tough opponents who can beat you any given Saturday. Same thing the SEC always says.

To answer your question, while I doubt the committee would have the balls to try moving Duke past JMU I would not be shocked if they did.

ESPN can't possibly be happy that half their playoff is going to have small fan bases.

Tell that to Oregon last year.

#1 team in the Country and their first Playoff game is against Ohio State, a team that was at one point #1 and made,Oregon beat them twice.

how? If you put Dior and JMU head to head I can almost guarantee JMU would be favored

Alabama shouldn’t be in either.

Our path is infinitely better this year.

Imagine I told you Oregon’s path was JMU, Texas Tech and Indiana at the beginning of the year?

They specifically moved JMU into the top 25 to account for this. They had been leaving JMU out even though the other polls had JMU in the 20s for weeks. I guarantee whatever random arse regular season game they played on Thanksgiving was not the reason they suddenly moved up lol.

Texas Tech and Indiana

You traded a bye for a game against a sun belt team. Pretty much a wash.

Is Texas Tech and improvement over a QF against 24 Ohio State? Sure. Is it the cake walk you're currently making it out to be?

I went and looked at points per drive stats today going back to 2007. Texas Tech entered the day allowing 0.78 points per drive. They allowed 0.53 points per drive today.

The only 2 defenses that had a season long total better than where they are through 13 games was 2021 Georgia (0.69) and 2011 Alabama (0.49)

That defense is an absolute nightmare.

You're expected reward should you survive it is to play a team that punked you in Autzen and just beat Ohio State.

Not ideal

Texas Tech is a very good team. Although I do think Oregon’s DL will destroy that OL.

The point is that Oregon gets a tuneup game after a long layoff.
