Does all the poor officiating make you tune out sports?

Not a saints fan, but was going for them. I think I’m almost there. I have season tickets for another nfl team but considering if it’s worth it anymore, all they do is hassle you.

This is not confined to nfl but I’m growing tired of officials giving impression it’s some third world banana republic where everything is fixed.

It’s a crying damn shame that play wasn’t called correctly

It makes me bitter, but like someone in love with a cheater, I’ll somehow manage to convince myself it won’t happen again.

Eh, not really. The NFL over the years has done a whole lot of other things to lose my interest. I'm not a Saints fan, never have been. I used to kind of pull for the Titans being from Tennessee, but they're so boring and have been for years that it's hard for me to feign interest.

The officiating and the rules are only one part in a bag full of frick the nfls that lead me to tune out.

I didn't bother to watch the AFCCG after the ending of the Saints game. Might tune out for the Super Bowl as well.

ETA: Has much more to do with the Saints losing in general than how they lost.

Yeah, but this is pretty much where I'm at.

It gets tough to support it when you know things like corruption or at the very least, blatant unchecked incompetence, can have a bigger affect than play on the field.

Also not a diehard Saints guy, but was pulling for them.

That type of call, especially when you see the shot where the two officials are in relation to the play and the subsequent no call, should make a person question the legitimacy, integrity, and determine the level of interest and investment one would place upon such an event.

If it doesn't, then you likely are susceptible to televangelism and professional wrestling, with partial interest in diving and figure skating. And you also have a sibling that travels to pageants.

It's this poor in every sport, not just football.

And sometimes is so asinine, that i just flip on some stupid shite and just check scores.

Both teams had bad calls go against them. Do the saints win if they get that call, yes. Did they also have ample other opportjnities to win the game? Yea. That’s why you will never ever see me blame the refs.

Of course it was DPI. Saints still could have won the game though. The refs didnt let the Rams march down the field for a FG. They didn’t make Drew Brees throw a pick. And they certainly didn’t move the goalposts to make the 57 yard FG kick a 47 yarder.

Oh, so you don't know what faux outrage means. Carry on.

No coincidence you've been hating the Saints all year I'm sure
