Yeah I’ll take Tucker. Idk how that WAR added up but that’s fricky lol

It is what it is defense is part of the game

Tucker is currently going through his typical slump after raging for a few weeks. He’s not quite in his October form yet but this is the preview.

It’s also comes to an end at the end of this season for y’all.

Paredes has 2 more years of control past this year.

Better WAR now, more control later AND additional pieces besides Paredes.

There are multiple moves over the last few years as an Astros fan to be butthurt about.

The Kyle Tucker trade is not one of them.

It’s probably the smartest move they have made of the post luhnow era

Then why spew all the BS? He was great in the 2020 & 2021 Postseason. Was rough in 22 (still had 2HR & drove in 5 in the WS) & 23. Yet it’s said as fact that hes terrible in the PS by every one of you in every thread about Tucker.
Then you say yall got better pieces. Cam Smith ain’t doing jack yet & Wesneski is meh and injured
And it ends for the cubs this year? FACT

If he doesn’t resign, then this trade was a failure. Until then, Tucker outweighs those 3

I just posted WAR.

No matter which formula the Astros haul have exceeded Kyle Tucker. Obviously on an individual manner using bWAR.

You can get mad about it but that doesn’t change it.

I also posted his post season OPS which on his career is objectively <.700.

Once again you can get mad about it. That doesn’t make it BS

Given I can’t stand the Cubs fanbase I hope like hell y’all pay him in the biggest way possible.

In 2020 postseason he had an OPS of .694. Not the makings of. 500million dollar man.

You also forgot 2019. OPS of .500.

Also 2024.0 hits 1 walk.

Not surprisingly though as a cubs fan to not remember his performance over those years though. You weren’t watching baseball in October most of those years.

Whoever pays the guy is going to regret it.

Actually the story i heard, was that they plan on pushing his price, and forcing some one to big time over pay. They will stay in till some one pays grossly and then they let them have him, or they get him for cheaper than they thought.

3 players add up to more than 1? Wow lol. Thats not exactly how you judge a trade. The only thing of value to the cubs was Smith. I’m not mad at all. Y’all the ones that turn every one of these threads into a scorned lover thread

That’s exactly what they’re doing.

yep, and he had 3 with the Cubs - 1 at Wrigley. Dude hit more 345 foot outs than I care to remember last season.

Say what you want but every prospect is a suspect until proven otherwise.

You act like it’s a given but it’s far from it to trade an established all star and equal or exceed production l.

The multiple players Detroit got in return over their career will never equal even 2018 Justin verlander.

The multiple players Arizona got for Greinke combined didn’t equal the WAR of greinke with the Astros.

I’m not going to add up numbers but I doubt the Rockies got back the WAR of nolan Arenado.

I actually pull for the Cubs. 2 close friends are lifelong diehards

I went to Games 3-5 at Wrigley ‘16

I hope the Cubs win the WS this year. I’ll be at the Wrigley games if they get there

But when they don’t get there, the Tucker trade ends badly for them if they don’t sign him long term, and maybe even if they do

Dodgers don't need an outfielder. They have Mookie, Teo Hernandez and their young guy with lots of potential who has been on fire at the plate lately, Andy Pages. They need a 3rd baseman. Max Muncy has been dogshit the last 2 years.

good. let one of the massive market teams overpay for him.

Tucker is a good, regular season player when healthy, but a far below average player in the playoffs. with him being in Houston, he has quite enough playoff experience to track...

Games - 64
At Bats - 218
Batting Average - .229
Hits - 50
Strikeouts - 53
LINK

and since the 2022 World Series playoffs he's been absolutely atrocious hitting .160 average. his new contract will not be worth it for whoever signs him.
