NBC does the best job covering/producing sports of the major networks. Watching the NHL on NBC makes me miss the NBA on NBC.

Emrick is to the NHL on NBC as Marv was to the NBA on NBC.

Agreed. Anyone who comes in here and argues Gus Johnson should be banned

There's a pretty good documentary on showtime about his struggle with being bi polar.

Doc is like Vin Scully level elite.

This is interesting. Every place up north here that gets the CBC broadcast out of Canada hates NBC and prefers the Canadian broadcast.

Personally, I think NBC does a great job.

Without a doubt. I’m not a hockey fan but I watch his games. I have a buddy that shoots me a text when he calling a game and I turn it on. Whether it’s game 7 of Cup Finals or a random mid season game, he puts you on the edge of your seat.

He should win the Emmy every year...which he probably does. Ha

If we are talking soccer, Derek Rae is probably the best. There are a ton of quality ones in soccer, but Derek Rae is magnificent.

Interesting. I live in US, and have always liked the CBC broadcast much more. I just don’t see what is so great about NBC.

He is the best, with Ian Darke right there with him, for soccer/football.

Doc is fantastic and, yes, the best at what he does. Gary Thorne is very underrated and just a stitch below Doc. I miss Gary Thorne calling NHL on ESPN.
