Saints fans have been moaning, whining, crying and bitching that Goodell rigs the games against NOLA ever since January 20, 2019.

I'm going over to a bud's house Sunday to watch the Rams-Eagles and Buffalo games.

He's an Eagles fan and is semi-convinced the NFL will rig the game for the Rams because of the LA fires.

I'm not sure I buy it. What about y'all? If yes, what games / team feel good stories make you suspect?

It's only rigged for Chiefs. Didn't you hear?

The risk that a $300 billion entity would risk its entire existence for what? Different teams in the Super Bowl that would generate what? Tens of millions in increased revenue at best?

WWE looks like it's hurting? Vince McMahon was a billionaire over scripted sport.

Gambling exists. Rogue individuals do rogue things. $300 billion companies do massively immoral things everyday to ensure they stay $300 billion companies. And this isnt a privately held organization or a publc one with oligarch controlling some yes men. Its 32 equal partners. It would be borderline impossible to pull off scripted games at the LEAGUE level.

No it wouldn't because the NFL isn't a billion dollar industry without TV contracts. Those TV deals aren't made unless the games are entertaining. They work hand in hand. You think all these last second heroics are coincidence?

Vegas is another animal all together and has had their hands in the cookie jar since it's inception. But hey we watching a real sport dammit!!!

Reading the comments from the Texans players and coaches yesterday was quite funny. Yet there are still people on this board who will tell anyone what they saw, what they are reading, and what they are hearing the actual players say is all false.

At this point, with the risk of injury in the NFL, if I am a player in a game that I know is being rigged by the officials, I am not going all out to risk injury for the rest of the game. Frick all that. I have to wonder how many of them do this at this point. I would not blame a single one of them if they admitted it either.

It's very simple.

Referees have never been perfect.
Every year we get new tech, better cameras, more cameras... and their errors are more pronounced.

You have some douchebag refs that love attention.
You have refs that are more likely to call or ignore certain fouls.
You have refs that aren't consistent during a single game.
You have refs that get starstruck around players like Brady or Mahomes.
You have refs that absolutely make "make-up calls"

I am sure some refs are dirty, but for the most part, refs just suck.

I cannot fricking stand when refs call fouls away from the play and change the flow or outcome of a game. That shouldn't be allowed.

The definition of a catch is retarded.
Pass interference is so inconsistent, they need to just let them fight it out for the most part like any kids playing backyard ball.
An offensive linemen leaning slightly should not be false start.
Running backs lowering their heads should get them a targeting foul as often as any DB making the same move.
QBs that are running should be fair game, this fake slide or slide and hit then penalty shite is ludicrous.

It may just boil down to bias or incompetence on the behalf of the officials.

Saying anything else is ignoring occums razor.

But no, lets go with a $300 billon industry is intent on risking all of that for a potentially slightly larger TV contract next times its up for negotiation. And if is indeed all about TV money, explain how their 3 largest TV markets comprised of 4 teams (Not including the Chargers) have won a grand total of 6 Super Bowls in 59 years. While their 3 smallest markets have the same number of Super Bowl wins with more appearances.

Not to mention the league would cease to exist if one of hundreds of people it would require to fix games at the league level ever came forward with verifiable proof of games being fixed at the highest level.

If you are ok with the way the SHAMS won, then you hate the game of football.

To compare this call to the no call is beyond asinine. It makes me think you need help.

Yes the games are rigged to a degree.

If Buffalo completed that 4th down pass the refs had thrown a flag to bring it back. They were ready.

Well, I’m a Saints fan and saw it happen right in front of me. The circumstances surrounding that call with the Rams and Goddell’s cozy relationship with them and the Saints making him look like the complete POS he is with Bountygate at that point it screamed bias and corruption. I’m not even saying the refs were both from the LA area. This is a “man” who was completely complicit in the covering up of serious health issues that were resulting in the DEATHS of former players directly resulting from playing football. If you think a multi billion dollar industry doesn’t tilt results to make more money I’d like to sell your naive arse some land. And Ragin Cajun little bitch boy……GFY and go back down to your Mons she shed and watch Star Wars.

Occums razor tells me that a billion-dollar industry is going to do whatever it can to remain a billion-dollar industry.

Name me one...just one....billion-dollar industry that doesn't do some shady shite.

I'll hang up and listen.

If it's rigged, why don't they do it for the teams that generate the most revenue like the Cowboys?

Doing it for a small market team like the Chiefs doesn't fit with the "Rigged" theory

We had rigged games when sports betting was illegal.

Now it’s legal and sports betting revenue has gone up over 1000% in less than 5 years.

What the frick did you think was gonna happen?

You think the NFL is the only entity that can influence a game?

If Vegas wants to win more money, wouldn't they have rigged it in favor of Buffalo? People put signficantly more money on the Chiefs to win.

Your theory doesn't make sense.

You’re assuming the only people that can influence the game are the nfl themselves or the casinos themselves.

Almost every very scandal in sports has involved a third party trying to game it in their favor.

Let’s be honest the NFL and the casinos are so big it doesn’t matter what happens they win. Vegas changes the odds hourly to combat that very thing. They don’t make money by not paying out bets. They don’t know who will win. They don’t care. Their goal is to break even. Then they make money on all the service charges on the millions swapping back and forth.

To all the people who defend the NFL for NOT BEING RIGGED...EXPLAIN THIS...

Nevermind...the NFL blocked it.

If you still have the game tapes go watch the game go watch from thIe kickoff the 49ers didn't after going up 19-16 to see why it actually is rigged

Maybe the link works
