The standard would already exist. Until another school formed the relationship with the players, they wouldn't be under the same scrutiny.
I think at this point they couldn't enroll anywhere else, so the only threat is LSU.

This issue is the SEC applying unequal punishment to LSU. What happens the next time something comes up? Do we go before the executioner again?

The players LSU are looking to add signed NFL contracts. SEC rules specifically state schools cannot add players to their roster who have signed a pro contract.

This isn't a personal issue, and this applies to more than LSU.
The SEC isn't going to have its enforcement eroded by hometown state court judges. That's another rubicon that was crossed.
And LSU fans can play dumb and pretend this was completely independent by the players and we never contacted them or coordinated this in any way, but we already have information from independent sources (like Monken) that destroy this narrative.
As I said earlier, in addition to the relationship of the players to professional teams, HOW we went about this clearly was a big deal to the SEC and the other members.

What other SEC schools are relying on state court injunctions that prohibit SEC enforcement of its rules?
Chabmliss and the Missouri kid are against the NCAA, I believe.

The claim of communication (by someone at LSU other than Kiffin to someone on the Browns other than Monken) was not retracted, I believe.
