I'm trying to avoid whataboutism, but I don't think any team was as blatant about it as LSU,
I mean bama actually played him

Online the overwhelming majority is definitely a mob mentality against LSU. I’m basing this off X and the Reddit cesspool

You implied it by saying LSU should remedy their open roster spots
The implication was the exact opposite. I have been quite blatant with my stance.

Chambliss in particular isn't really relevant, as he never had any association with any professional team.
There aren’t levels to ineligibility. It’s binary.

Lane and LSU are a very easy villain target because they can potentially be a very good team.
If Rutgers was doing this no one would care

I’ve listened to a dozen national guys today. None are taking it serious.

The specific nature of their relationship to NFL teams clearly crossed the rubicon for basically everyone other than LSU.

Taking what, specifically, serious?
The situation in general or something specific (like expulsion)?

I disagree. Ineligible is ineligible.

You clearly fall into the "LSU" portion of that statement

Expulsion
My initial comment that started that digression was not about expulsion and was about the situation, generally.
Pro-LSU support is in the extreme minority about these 2 guys and our fight with the SEC

It must not be too blatant if no one knows wtf you are trying to say. What is your stance without saying “cut ties”
I’m genuinely asking what you think the solution is

Not really. I think it’s ridiculous for pro players to come back, in general. RJ Luis should not play for LSU basketball and LSU basketball shouldn’t take him.
These football players do have a case, which is a different discussion. But I’m fine with painting with a broad brush.

Because Chambliss got a home judge to rule in his favor and the sec let it go. Surely if he was out of eligibility like the two lsu targets he would have gone pro but the sec let the ruling go and didn’t make a fuss about it

We need to sign a binding agreement with the SEC/NCAA that these players will never be rostered and are considered ineligible by LSU.

But he is playing as ineligible in the eyes of the NCAA, and the SEC follows NCAA rules.

Make every sec school sign it

Agreed, but apply this standard across the board.

The biggest mistake the SEC COULD do is expel LSU.
