But the yanks had already won 3 previous. I guess what I mean is does fan interest rise when you have teams that keep knocking on the door but don’t make it? Do people root for them more to get over that hump? You have like a build up situation where everybody wants to see if they finally do it.

That 1997 Broncos team was really good, it stopped the Pack in their tracks.

Otherwise I like parity

I think by 2000, people got tired of the Yankees. Even the team was tired, they went 87-75, lost 15 out of their last 18 games.

Dynasties take a toll on the mind and body and the Yanks got hot at the right time to threepeat.

People wanted the Yanks to win in 2001 because of 9/11, it would have been a storybook season.

Wouldn’t watch lakers Celtics either or Yankees vs whoever, as I hate baseball.

Give me parity every year in the nfl or cfb which I actually watch.

I think people don’t realize how much they enjoy rooting against a dynasty.

So they want parity but they’re enjoying themself more when there’s not.

I want my teams to be dynasties. If they can’t be I want parity. Hell, if mine aren’t I’ll even take parody

I wonder if there's a way to see how many people were watching game 7 before Halliburton's injury.

The same old teams winning gets old fast. So parity.

I hate parity. Everyone is equally mediocre and it’s a coin flip who wins. That’s boring g and no fun.

I want to see the goliaths go at it and the Davids try to take them out. That’s where the fun is.

Is 6 different teams a dynasty though? Btw the Bills made more SB in the 80s and 90s than all those teams except SF and Denver. Also The Raiders 2 and Bears 1 won in that era.

The NBA by contrast only 5 different teams made the finals between 79-80 and 88-89 : Lakers, 76ers, Celtics, Pistons and Rockets

I think what’s best is seeing the best teams all season play at the end. Not a
“dynasty” unless of course it’s your team I prefer the Final Four to be 1-2 seeds not what we had with UConn-SDSU, Miami and FAU. I don’t like 9-7 teams in the SB or 84 win teams in the WS but I don’t want the Patriots or Yankees every year either

Big markets and big names generate revenue. The smaller markets are the Generals and food for the fodder.

NFC dynasty basically. From 1984 to 1996. Broncos broke the Packers from going No. 14.
