College sports in general … less

But for LSU football and baseball… it’s pretty much the same and unwavering, and they will continue to remain at a very high level.

But one change is I don’t follow LSU football recruiting anymore though. That used to be massive for me 20 years ago and then much less so 10 years ago. It’s almost nonexistent now at least until signing day approaches or I happen upon a commitment thread.

I do like reading portal news and rumors though when they get posted.

…But my LSU Women’s basketball interest has skyrocketed through the roof now by comparison. I’ve watched or at least background streamed most of all the womens games this year (certainly more than rest of my whole life combined — I never watched more than a few tournament games during our old final 4 seasons). When they were playing this season and I was working or had no other game to watch, I pretty much always had them at least streaming in the background at minimum

Significantly less given the sociopolitical changes in this country and specific to LSU.

My sentiments the same as OP. Maybe it's because the sports landscape is changed...maybe it just because I'm older but likely both. Definitely less engaged than a decade ago but still a fan.

It used to be my life when I was younger now I just use sports and LSU sports as an escape. I’m 100 percent emotionally invested during the game but once it’s done win or lose I’m moving on.

Definitely less. I remember when a LSU loss would put me in a bad mood for a few days. As I got older, I realized that it’s pretty dumb to let 18-22 yo kids, running around tackling each other, have any bearing on my life. There are a lot more important things in this world than football.

Less due to transfer portals, NIL, etc. it’s no longer all student athletes; more of mercenary money grab minor leagues. Stacking rosters full of transfers back and forth is way out of control.

I’m enjoying it more these days but it’s all due to my stage in life. I was a huge sports fan in college and the years after. But when we started having kids, my priorities shifted and sports was something I didn’t have time for. Now my kids are getting into sports so I can take them to games and I can’t seem to get enough. But there was a 8-10 year stretch where I hardly attended any LSU games. I watched what was convenient on tv but that’s about it.

About the same. I follow college baseball a little more than I did 10 years ago.

Way less for me. I watch my team when I can and maybe some of the playoff action. On the plus side, I have more free time to do other things.

The brand hasn’t changed just the rules
Life does have a way of setting priorities the older you get

There comes a certain point in life after a wife and kids that sports in general become less of a priority. That’s just the way it goes.

That will circle back. Especially if the wife like LSU football

Less. Easily. I barely watch. Moved last year and have watched even less.

I’m not outright opposed to certain changes, but all together they’ve basically sapped my interest in the sport slowly and steadily.

That and I feel like LSU barely has sustained sellouts in any sport (aka fans stay the whole game). Can’t remember the last time I was at a game that wasn’t Alabama where even 3/4 of the stadium was full by the end of the game.

Less. I'm now much more of a Pelicans fan than I am an LSU football fan. That would have shocked the me of ten years ago.

Less. The free agency has cheapened the team spirit, and the embrace of left wing politics - shitting on the USA - is repugnant.

Say less.

I liked when you had dudes who were here at least 3 years, many times 4.

You had an actual team. This is just an assemblage of free agents, mercenaries.

Its more like the NFL which sucks.
