Just can’t make this shite up. Mets have a guy who’s the #18 prospect in baseball and has been tearing up AA/AAA but we instead call up a dude who started this season with the Long Island Ducks and batting below the Mendoza. What’s the point of prospect hugging at the deadline if you’re going to use career minor leaguers in a pennant race when you lose two infielders

If I had to guess they want him to get consistent ABs when he’s called up, but he would still be blocked currently and play part time at most. You don’t call up key guys and make them ride pine half the time.
