Last time out the Mets went balls deep on Strider and he complained that it was all luck. He was made fun of nationally.
The Mets are 5.5 games up on Atlanta. That said, the Mets have had a couple injuries. Looks like Guillorme will be out for a bit. I’m hoping they bring up Brett Baty. This is a 4 game set. Scherzer and deGrom will get the last 2.

This series definitely doesn’t have the same juice the previous two against ATL have had. Bringing up Baty would be amazing, I think he’s actually our “best prospect” but Alvarez plays a premium position so he’s ranked higher.

Hes not really a plus catcher defensively though right? He just can play it at an acceptable enough level that you want him there for the positional advantage on offense. At least thats what I've taken from what I've read on him. Haven't read much on Baty though.

I'm not quite at that point yet, If we don't get at least a game in this series I don't think we will make up the ground though.
ETA: The next two weeks will determine a lot for us. 4 against the Mets, 3 against Houston, a Pirates series you'd like to see a sweep in, and then the Cards.
I just looked at the Phillies schedule and they do have a pretty easy September. Besides a 2 game series against Toronto, its a bunch of middling or bad teams and then us for 6 games total. They could potentially make up a lot of ground.

Classy. Maybe Acuna will quit against deGrom like he generally does with “leg soreness” then come in to PH once the bullpen is called upon. I want to like Acuna but he’s one of the bigger pussies in MLB

I cringed at his comments after last game TBH. The Mets BABIP isn't even that high
Why are you citing stats after the game and talking about "we will see in October" when hes never done anything in October either?
Typical entitled doucher thinking he won something because his team did. Bama has that issue with guys coming in to the program too.
