From a purely legal point of view, his problem was the exemption came from the Victorian state government and the Australian Tennis Federation. He never had an exemption from the Australian federal government. So "Australia" never told him "he could come". Coupled with the false travel declaration made it easier for them to kick him out.

From a purely legal point of view,
No problem with this reply. It neither defends Novak or Australias stupid arse policies, but states the facts and nothing but the facts with no agenda.

The Australian rules are bullshite but he was a guest in their country. If you go there then follow their laws, if you don’t like their laws don’t go there. He isn’t special because he is a famous athlete. If he didn’t like the rules he should have protested by refusing to go play there.
