No. It was a major reason for his deportation. If they allow him to stay after him putting false information on the forms, then it opens a can of worms for the locals, which is entirely true.

I wonder if he tries to sneak in alcohol to Saudi Arabia. Consequences there for that, which is completely at odds with American society, would be harsher than he is experiencing in Australia.

bullshite. He lied, plain and simple. He would’ve won his appeal if he hadn’t lied and this would be a non-story. It is considered a felony to make a false statement, so good for their government for sticking to their guns. Nobody is above the law.

Look, I’m not happy about the way things are either, but I’m also not going to lie on a customs form to enter a country.
I am pissed about the way this virus has disrupted the world as we once knew it. We can’t all travel as willingly as we used to. It’s frustrating.
