Discontinued sporting events that would be fun to see today…

Some of these would never happen for obvious reasons, but were unique and fun in their day.
NFL v CFL: Six games were played between NFL and CFL teams. They used hybrid rules and were all played in Canada. The NFL won each game. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats did beat the Buffalo Bills in 1961 in the only CFL-AFL matchup. On a similar note, the Packers and Raiders played a preseason game on an 80 yard field in Winnipeg because of safety concerns over goal post anchor points.
College All Star Game: From 1934-1976, a college all star squad took on the defending NFL champs. The college group managed to win 9, most recently in 1963.
American Bowl: No reason for this, as regular season games are being played internationally. I always thought it was cool to see my Cowboys play in Estadio Azteca. Let’s not forget Steve Spurrier’s Redskin offense going off against SF in the Osaka Dome.
McDonald’s Championship: This fun international contest featured an NBA team (eventually the reigning champ) against league champs from Europe, Australia, and South America. I remember seeing my Spurs dispatch the Varese Roosters and Vasco da Gama to win the final edition in 1999.
Super Series: These were exhibition games between Soviet league teams and NHL teams. The first edition featured Moscow Central Red Army and the Soviet Wings. The Soviets went 5-2-1. The most famous game was in 1976 when the Philadelphia Flyers bullied the Red Army en route to a 4-1 win, the first loss by the powerhouse Red Army. The game is remembered for the physical style imposed by the Broad Street Bullies.

I believe for a short time there was a series played between the MLB and NPB champions. I'd watch that.
Also, the Pac 12 championship game and basketball tournament (I hate conference expansion).
ETA: I'm sure the Winn Dixie showdown will be mentioned. I have a new idea I'd like to see.
An early season college baseball tournament at Roger Dean Stadium that features 4 of the following 5 teams: Pitt, Cincinnati, St Louis U, Illiniois-Chicago, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee. You could also play it at a spring training site in Arizona I guess.
But make it an NL central themed tournament and get the big league clubs in on the marketing for it to build the audience for college baseball.
I understand it's dumb, but I like the idea.

Barrel jumping on ice skates was fun to watch. It used to come on ABC’s Wide World of Sports.

Not sure how they would keep the fluids from contaminating the beach but would be cool to see them run on the beach again.

Midget wrasslin at my local park was a sight to see back in the day. A shame the local police shut it down once they realized they wouldnt get any kickbacks from it

MLB used to have old timers day. Former players playing. I’d love to see Griffey, Bonds, Ripken, Clemens and others play a 3 game series or something.

I'd settle for just bringing back Pros vs Joes.

It was great seeing some arrogant bartender trying to return kicks only to get hammered by Herschel Walker.

The two I remember being really brutal was "Could you get a rebound on Dennis Rodman?" and "Could You Survive a Bill Romanowski Tackle?".

Would have been cool to catch some Jai Alai in southern Florida in the late 60's/early 70's. I bet they knew how to party.
