Losing all the momentum? That's already happened. I don't think we've ever seen a league literally hate it's biggest money makers like the WNBA does.
If the country was more divided, these WNBA shenanigans could have ended up leading to a larger race war that has seemed inevitable for awhile now. Never thought I'd say that.
Now given, we aren't that far gone yet, and I'm not saying this leads to an all out race war. But eventually white people like Cunningham are going to start fighting back. And I'm not just talking about athletes. Eventually a lot of white people are going to get sick for being blamed for every issue the black race has, and black people not taking one single ounce of responsibility.
I'm not baiting here. I truly don't see how the U.S. lasts as long as you have 13% of your population believing they should be able to do anything with impunity. All because some distant ancestor was a slave. Disregard the fact that none of their relatives in the last 4 generations at least were slaves. Disregard the fact that the white people involved in slavery have been dead for at least 100 years now, and that's the ones who grew old.
But yeah the WNBA needs to come down hard on Carrington. The vitriol and hated of Clark and Cunningham has gotten out of control. It's all about black women players trying to send a message to white women players that basketball is theirs. They act like they own it when they don't. Newsflash black WNBA players, basketball was invested by a white man. You have a white man to thank to even have the privilege to play a game for a living!

Starve them out. Shut off all EBT cards tomorrow (regardless) of race and then give mandatory 10 year prison sentences for retail theft... The USA would change for the better instantly... I will happily pay more taxes to build more prisons and incarcerate degenerate criminals!

I really wish the WNBA commissioner or someone in the media would ask all black WNBA players this one question. What is your eventual goal here?
- Is the eventual goal to get Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham out of the WNBA?
Those two players are the only reason hardly anyone watches!! With Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, the WNBA loses 80% of it's viewership. What is that going to do to revenue? What do these players think that's going to do to their salaries going forward?
I know some can't think that strategically because the WNBA has never made money. The NBA has always had to subsidize them. But with Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham, I'm guessing the WNBA is as close as it's ever been to profitability, and they are throwing that away.

Again, that will devastate your fan base long term. At the end of the day, black people only make up 13% of the population, that is not nearly enough to sustain a league. At that point, I think even the NBA pulls the plug on them.
You would easily lose 87% of your viewership, never mind face the risk of constant lawsuits, if you are trying to keep all white women out of the WNBA.
No one is going to have the guts to do it. But I would love the WNBA commissioner or just even one reporter, to ask a black player, what do you really think happens to WNBA viewership and fan support without Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham or any white woman player?
Because that seems to be the end goal. The black women players can't stand that 2 white girls are the face of the WNBA currently. Disregard that basketball was invented by a white man, these black women seem to genuinely think that basketball was invented by them and are for blacks only. It's honestly pretty pathetic.
