Having played at Elon, I can say that NC has great baseball. The seemingly surprising lack of football talent there is made up for in the baseball talent.
Next best is Texas with 5 teams, then Cali, Louisiana, and Alabama each with 4

I realized that when I did the bracket challenge. I ended up with a lot of North Carolina teams in the supers.

Youth and HS baseball is a big deal around here. Way different than where I grew up
