Did not watch the SB. Did KC really get screwed by the refs?

This excuse would hold a lot more weight if they had lost by 6-10 points and the chiefs o line wasn’t a turnstile all night.

If you don’t score a TD all night then I don’t really see where you could complain about refs

Maybe I was drunk but I don't even remember them showing a replay of those calls to see how bad they were.

Absolutely. Low IQs will point to the final margin but ignore that they only got to that margin because of the refs.

there were some 50/50 judgment calls at crucial points that all went in TB's favor

but it wasn't pervasive enough to excuse no TDs or anything like that. you have to believe in NCAA 06 momentum to think it changed the game

KC had bad luck with injuries more than anything else

The officials were definitely trying to help Tampa in the beginning. At some point they figured they didn’t have to anymore because Tampa’s front four were walking right through KC’s O-line and it didn’t matter.

bad refs calls on both sides...i think tampa scored before half on that 4th down...KC was lucky the cheating refs called that one their way because it was clooooose

they reversed a turnover from KC on an awful call and had a very iffy PI that led to points before half for TB

it was a shitty game and look for the refs, but KC was out matched either way

I don’t like fans giving the refs a pass just because it didn’t cause the inferior team to lose. The refs sucked in the game (especially the first half)

KC's refusal to run the ball or divert from their MO of chunk everything deep to Hill & Kelce is what lost them the game. That and no answer for a 4-man pressure all night.

That said, the officiating on the drive before half was atrocious, but it's kind of a moot point. Andy Reid deserved everything he got on that drive after calling a 2nd timeout with 41 seconds left on 3rd & 1.

Some petty calls throughout, I guess.

Bottom line, whether they got screwed or not, no team will ever get any sympathy from any Saints fan no matter how egregious. So there’s that.

No, Buccs had a dominating defensive performance.

This. KC wasn't winning anyway, but that's no excuse for slanted officiating.

100% agree. KC probably still loses, but they got hosed on some calls that made it easy for tampa to score.
