I’ve never really listened to the show. But can someone explain to me what people don’t get about it?

They often parodied or subverted traditional sports radio. A substantial percentage of casual listeners didn't understand this.

So Mike & Mike would yammer on for 3 hours straight about "Who's better - Jordan or LeBron?" or pointless Draft chatter or What do the Cowboys have to do to get over the hump this year? or Is Coach X on the Hot Seat?

Listeners would then tune into Lebatard expecting something similar, but would instead hear "Which NBA 3rd banana would you like in your dance crew?" or Fast Food Dollar Menu draft rankings or Stugotz claiming Kobe should be the NBA logo or some other dumb shite. Then they'd call in and say stuff like "Why aren't you talking about Yankees-Red Sox (in May) and how dare you besmirch Jerry West like that!"

yes the show sucks when Dan goes full libtard

i've listened regularly for a few years now. i listen to it as a podcast though. i've probably only listened live less than 5 times total. the jump back/ahead 30 sec button was made for this show. whenever dan gets on his soap box, i jump ahead 30 seconds or a minute.

but aside from that its a very funny and entertaining show

this is true. the show is actually sneaky hilarious if you tune dan out (he's even funny himself every now and then). greg cote is my favorite personality on the show specifically because of how much he bothers dan.

The “Back in my day” rants were usually pretty good. I always found the side characters pretty amusing more-so than Dan and Stu.

It's not wrong, only difference is that Liberals just took off the hoods, they are still scumbag bigots and racists.

Same people, just no hoods and they talk their shite behind closed doors, or call Black Police Officers the N word.

He comes off to me as very pretentious and makes no bones he thinks he's better than Joe sports fan and his peers in the business and talking sports is beneath him.

His show makes me laugh at times but you know what he really thinks and really wants to say even when he's not saying it. Not my cup of tea - he'll seek a venue where he can really be himself and he'll be even more not my cup of tea.

I wish they left a decade ago. Miami can have that rubbish all to themselves.

The problem there is every country has some racism and there is racism from and in every culture and ethnic group and having said that the term racist is still an overused word and used in contexts that dilute what real racism is.
