No one will ever come close since you still have to win despite the picks you've thrown. He had the longevity because he still played at a high level.

Gruden's QB Camp with Favre was one of the best episodes and is a decent breakdown of his career

City was in trouble following Katrina.

Katrina was in 2005. If there was a game to be fixed, it would have been 2006 NFC championship game…not 4 years after the storm.

Favre got his arse physically handed to him that game. Not sure I’ve ever seen a QB take such a consistent beating all game

I like Favre and think he may be the most fun player to watch I've ever seen. But the man is and was basically a functional retard who just happened to be maybe the most naturally talented athlete the position has ever seen.

Yeah, he's a true dumb dumb

It was 4 years after Katrina and he isn't even from New Orleans. Also, AP had the fumbles, not Favre. This post is restarted.

The reason they had to play that game in New Orleans instead of Minnesota was because Peterson fumbled the ball against the Bears, costing them home field advantage. A game in which Favre threw for 300 yards in the second half alone.

It's hard to blame that when Saints finished 13-3 and sat everyone week 17 and Vikings were 11-4 after week 16. Saints had inside track regardless if Vikings win that game and don't rest guys if the Vikings do win.

That title probably belongs to Bert Jones.

Not to mention the Vikings themselves lost the 2 seed after their loss to the Bears and only got it back because the Eagles lost the following week.

“I would always sit in these meetings,” Favre said in a video from a speaking engagement recently posted on Twitter by Zach Dunn. “If you don’t know what’s going on, the trick is to act like you do. And I’m the starting quarterback, and [coach Mike] Holmgren would be up there and he’d say, ‘All right, look guys,’ he’s writing nickel defenses in, ‘We’re gonna do this, we’re gonna attack this.’ I’d always be sitting there going, ‘I hear this ‘nickel defense’ all the time but I’m not real sure what it is.’ Then he’d throw me for a loop and he’d say, ‘Long yardage situation, dime comes in.’ Dime, what the hell is dime? They would say, ‘Over under front’ and, ‘You got this, 3-4.’ I was afraid to ask, I’m the starter. Ty Detmer was over there. “After about our second year, finally I said, I just got to know, ‘Ty, I got to ask you a question.’ Ty was about as goofy as I was. He says, ‘What’s that?’ I say, ‘What’s the nickel defense?’ He’s just real quiet, he says, ‘You serious?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’m serious.’ He says, ‘Well, they basically take out a linebacker and bring in a DB.’ “I said, ‘That’s it?’ He said, ‘That’s it.’ I said, ‘Who gives a sh-t?’”

Manziel had nowhere near the raw talent that Favre had.

Manziel just had a great ability to make shite up as he went in college and had a Hall of Fame WR making all of his chicken shite into chicken salad.

Favre was 6"2', 222 lbs, ran a 4.7, and had maybe the best arm in NFL history.

All I can tell you is look up the old NFL Network segments aired shortly after the game.

I’m sure you are correct. Maybe I was thinking about at the time of the Chicago overtime loss.

Upon further review, looks like the saints won the first 13 and lost the last 3.
Doesn’t look like the Vikings could have gotten home field no matter what.
Thank you for straightening me out. All this time I’ve been blaming Adrian Peterson for costing them home field.

Pereira mentioned one - the one where Favre threw a pick. That’s about 4 or 5 short of your initial post.

Not in the clip I saw. He specifically said “5 or 6” that could’ve or should’ve been called.
